Ever notice how little kids run everywhere they go? Isn’t it pleasant and yet kind of funny? Kids have so much excitement and joy about everything they do and must run in order to get to each thing as fast as possible.
Can you imagine if adults did the same thing?
I mean, really imagine it. Picture adults running everywhere they go.
To do the laundry, you run down the hall. To make dinner, you run to the kitchen. To get the mail you run to the mailbox. To go from the car to the house, you run. Picture everyone in your office running to the conference room for your meeting. You get the point.
It may seem silly, but imagine the excitement and joy that a simple childlike action – like running everywhere – could bring to the simple things in life.
Has anyone else ever thought about this? In what other ways could adults use a little more joy in their day-to-day lives?

Please don’t roll your eyes at me, Jacks! I do run to get the mail, to get into and out of my car. But it’s usually not for the joy of doing it! I guess I better work on the joy of it!
I’m not rolling my eyes! I love it! So maybe when you go back to work you could try running down the hall to teach your next class! I can just hear it now, “Mrs. Speck, no running!” 😉
