In this life some people don’t get to hang on to their Daddies here on earth as long as they’d like. Today and every day celebrate your Dad.
Dad, you are the rock and backbone of our family. The able and willing provider, you’ve done so much and sacrificed so much for our family. You’ve set the example. Your presence is unlike any other.
I never realized until this year with the passing of your dad, my wonderful grandfather, how much the two of you are alike. If I had to sum up in only a few words the story of your life, it would be a St. Francis of Assisi quote, “Preach the Gospel at all times, and when necessary, use words.” You’ve led my siblings and me by your bold actions. Come to find out through stories of Grandpa’s life, the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. If only we could all be so wise as to live the Gospel in the way you do as your own father has taught you.
I only hope I bring goodness to the Stammen name as my own father has taught me. We should all strive for our given names to be upheld with honor and dignity.

As you honor your own fathers today on Father’s Day, honor also our Heavenly Father. Pray for all fathers to become more and more like our Heavenly Father with each day that passes.
Today I also honor my grandfathers, brothers, brothers-in-law, uncles, godfather {Steve:-)}, cousins, and friends who are fathers, act as fathers in the lives of others, or desire to be a father. I pray even if you are not a father biologically, you feel and see the beauty of fatherhood in your life.
