I used to think it was bad to make mistakes and if by chance you did make a mistake you shouldn’t let the world see your fault. Now I realize the importance of allowing yourself to make mistakes and the valuable lessons learned in the process.
It’s often difficult for people to talk about their flaws. It is for me anyway. Most of the time I’d rather brush them aside and hope no one else noticed. Over time and through this blog it’s getting easier to be open about my imperfections. The more vulnerable I allow myself to become, the more I’m able to grow and change and become a better human being. I am not, in anyway, saying my weaknesses have disappeared. Far from it. I’m just learning how to use them to become better.
Becoming better is a lifelong process. It’s never-ending because we can’t become perfect until we achieve Heaven. Don’t beat yourself up because you are not perfect. No one is. We are imperfect human beings. Accept it. Learn from it. Grow from it. Become better. Strive for perfection, but accept that it won’t be achieved until we pass from this world.

Thanks Jackie! You don’t know how I needed this, this week.
Glad this post could help, Becky! That’s my hope with this blog. Comfort in going through things together, right? How are you? How are the kids? Loved the pics you posted on Facebook!
That is good! We are good, but busy! Lauren just started 1st grade, babysitting, cakes, etc. Now Lauren is in soccer. Oh well, I guess it is good to be busy. 🙂 Thanks, I try to get some on every so often. How have you been?
I believe you are busy:-) Sounds like things are pretty exciting in your household! It’s always great to hear from you! Things are going well for me. Looking forward to the holidays…already;-)
The Holidays will be here before you know it!!! Time flies so fast!
Take care!
Becoming better is what life is all about. Great post! We are all continuously under construction. Your quote sums it up beautifully, “Mistakes have the power to turn you into something better than you were before.” Again, excellent post. Cheers!
Thanks for reading, Phil, and thanks for your comment as well. Cheers to you as well! 🙂
