Trust. Love.Integrity.
Three words that are so incredibly inter-connected and dependent upon each other. Not the words really, but the meaning of the words, the action of the words are what is important. Without trust you cannot have love and without love you cannot have trust. Without integrity, you can have neither in the fullest sense.
Personally, I’ve experienced if I cannot trust someone I pretty much shut down completely to them. I know, it’s not the best quality to have, but it also goes to show the importance of being a trustworthy person. If I trust you, I am willing to give you a lot of room to screw up and fail and try over again. On the flip side if I can’t trust you and I don’t believe that your intentions are of integrity, you will have to work very hard for me to take you seriously. When I seem to be the one lacking the traits of trust, love, and integrity I am still one of the sufferers, feeling very unsettled and unhappy. Maybe I won’t feel as though I suffer in the short-term from my shortcomings in this area, but most certainly in the long-term I will suffer.
This holds true in personal relationships and in business relationships. We all stand to gain more from any relationship that embodies these three characteristics. It’s easier said than done, but strive to be a person of trust, love and integrity.
