It’s honorable to try, to do your best, to give it your all. Sometimes, though, we need to stop trying and start trusting.
‘Try’ is a word that is all about self. What can I do to change this situation?
On the contrary ‘trust’ is a word that has nothing to do with yourself except letting go of the control and allowing someone else to take over. To me, that someone is God.
So when you run out of all your “try” just “trust” in the Lord. He will lead you every step of the way.

You’ve been blogging up a storm. And I love them all. See you this weekend!
Thanks, man! Hope to be blogging more and more too! Rest up and hydrate for the big race. Gonna be a good one!
Thanks Jackie, I needed to hear this today. 🙂
Love you!
You are welcome! Love you too! 🙂
Just beautiful and oh so true. Thanks, Jackie!
It’s funny – this one came up in conversation with a co-worker the other day. God was definitely using that instance to share His message. Thanks for reading, Nancy!
Someone has been reading her “Jesus Calling” book. I have been thinking about this same thing after doing the daily reading. People, if you do not have this daily devotional, you have to go get it! It’s short, sweet, and powerful. And after the reading, it gives you scriptures to follow up with.
It’s called “Jesus Calling”, by Sarah Young.
You better believe it. The funny thing is, after I wrote this post, I read the entry for 4/24 and it was pretty much right on. Amazing the way God works!
