You know what I’m talking about – all of those annoying habits, humble brags, unfair justifications, boasting, gossiping, judging, whatever it is that annoys you so much about other people. You know? Those things… Want to know how to make those things stop?
Quit doing them yourself!
Often we dislike things in other people because we dislike those same things in ourselves, but somehow we fail to see it in ourselves as clearly as we see it in others. We’re quick to point our finger and place blame. We’re quick to cringe and turn up our noses, but we’re really slow to reflect on ourselves and to see those same faults in ourselves.
We’re just sitting there judging, pin-pointing faults and flaws in others and all the while, we’re wearing those same faults and flaws in every way possible. It makes sense, though. Behavior of one kind is encouraged by behavior of the same kind. It goes back to the basics. How do you get love? You give love. You can’t get love from hate. It’s not possible. One does not encourage the other. If you want to see positive changes or reactions in other people, show them positive changes and reactions in yourself.
No matter who you are and where you’re at in life right now, do one thing differently to become a better person and maybe you’ll encourage everyone else to do the same. That my friends, is how you change the world – one annoying habit at a time.

Spot on my friend!
Oh so perfectly said. And sometimes so hard to do!
